My practice begins with people, places, and feelings that often recede into the background of everyday life. I am drawn to domestic spaces in older urban districts, where shared areas and ordinary objects remain entangled with residents’ routines, gestures, and memories. Within these spaces, I attend to small sensory shifts: such as a change in sound, a dimming of light, a texture encountered differently by the hand, or an object slightly out of place.
 

I am interested in how such shifts alter an emotional atmosphere, and how emotion, in turn, transforms the ways an object or space is seen, heard, and felt. I approach each work as a container—not for a fixed narrative, but for sensations, memories, and uncertain associations to gather. Through material processes, I create conditions in which subtle changes in perception and feeling can emerge.
 

My experience in social work and trauma counselling has shaped how I listen to feeling and to what remains unspoken. It informs how I enter a space, what I choose to hold back, and how I remain close to another person’s experience without assuming the authority to explain it. This attentiveness remains quietly present in the work: in what is allowed to remain unsaid, and in the way feeling is held without being forced into resolution.
